i like mowing the lawn.  waiting for the dew to dry off the grass so i can get it before the real heat of the day.  they say you should try not to cut in the afternoon, to leave it till dusk so your lawn can recover while its cool and shaded at night.  i run the sprinklers if it gets hot, yes i realize some is evaporating, but i think the goal is to keep the soil cool?  maybe the water droplets on the leaves magnify the sun and it causes more damage than good.  i dont know.  and some might call it a waste of water.  is it?  we have a private well, and i always thought of water kind of like energy, it cant really be destroyed, just changes forms.
if i leave the water on for ever, it goes somewhere....some evaporates and condenses in the sky and falls as rain, dew, etc.  some soaks through the ground and feeds the plants which in turn put off more moisture yada yada yada.  the majority id guess filters its way back down through the ground and eventually into the water table.  i really dont think we can run out.  when i was in elementary school in the 80's they told us how acid rain and leaving the water on while we brushed our teeth was gonna mean by the time we grew to adulthood there would be no water to drink.
bullshit.
its everywhere now.  it used to be at sinks and drinking fountains, now its in those places AND on pallets for sale in every store you go to.  plus, the machine keeps chugging on because instead of causing panic over lack of water, they switched and are instilling my nieces and nephew with visions of the plastic containers we contain this precious elixer inside clogging the digestive tracts of magnificent sea turtles, suffocating and jamming the gills of the great blue whale, which ironically, need the water store inside this plastic scourge to breathe!
my friends, it is time.  it is time to rise up.  it is time to fight back, to overthrow the ones who would control us.  We dont need their water!  we dont need thier plastic!  turn your faucets on, urinate in the streets and mow your lawn daily to slow the growth of your ultra hydrated lawns as we as a people make all the plastic bottles become empty!
