food/diet
this is what i have whittled my diet down to, for both economic and health reasons. a lot of people at work or church or wherever ask how i lost my weight. spoiler alert, i excercised. diet helped a ton, but equal dedication with food and DAILY exercise is what got me to shed pounds.
anyway here it is. i feel like ive allready done this in a post, so if im repeating myself, i apologize in advance.
work days.
breakfast: quesadilla from holiday. not healthy. 200 calories, most from processed bs and fat. however, it tastes great, has few calories, and tides me over till lunch.
lunch: two mini sandwiches made with fried in olive oil tofu as bread, one slice cheese, and olive oil mayo. on the high end this is 300 calories. fry your tofu in advance for the week in a big batch. i like mine a tad crispy, and seasoned with salt, pepper, and turmeric.
dinner: fried in olive oil mixed veggies. i get frozen veggies and put them in a huge tupperware and store in the fridge to scoop out of. also a big batch of canned black beans, garbanzo beans, and petite diced tomatoes are stockpiled in the fridge. olive oil will ignite, so use care if youve never used it before. so, id guess about 2 cups veggies, 1 cup beans, and then i top it with shredded cheese, and recently have been adding an egg. season before cheese and egg with salt and pepper, turmeric, cayanne, mustard seed powder, and taco seasoning. tastes great. i look forward to it and crave this meal.
if im happy with my weight post afternoon workoout, i may go crazy and eat a ton of ice cream or cookies so i can go to bed with hate in my heart.
non work days.
no breakfast! half baked intermitent fast till about 11am, after doing all daily exercise fasted. same veggie/bean concoction but with two eggs. tastes great.
supper:same veggie concoction but only one egg, or substitue cheap meat if any is available. sometimes cheap beef roast in the slow cooker will last a week adding once a day. delicious, but expensive.
again, if weight is on par, go bananas with ice cream and peanut butter.
thats pretty much it. people ask if im a vegetarian. not at all. meat is expensive, and the way i am able to get it seems too wasteful and irresponsible. my sister usually gives us some beef from her deep freeze when we see her, or we buy hamburger when its on sale. i love meat, but im cheap. the tofu on work days i came up with when i was trying to find an alternative to both bread, and processesed deli meat. so far so good.
