my mind is blank but i am pretending to be a writer so i am forcing myself to sit down and write. this weekend i wrote to articles for my other wordpress blog and they turned out ok. i think they are helpful and informative, but i have no clue if or how anyone would ever find them. i have an idea for another but it's more of a product review. they dont look as good as i had hoped, but they do look good enough, and it's self helpy diy fix it stuff so i dont think the presentation matters quite as much as the content does. i want it to be accurate, easy to understand and with no filler crap that goes on and on. im trying to write articles about the type of stuff that youd google when your working around the house. so you are either looking at your phone, or coming inside to a pc and wanting quick answers. the problem is, as i have definetly looked stuff up as i get stuck on a project, i dont exacttly read the articles, i skim and get to what i need and bounce. i dont click things. videos are good, but only for more complicated stuff. usually, when i find my answer, its more of an Ah-Ha! moment type of thing than something technical that i really had to learn. it's something simple, but i overlooked it or need to see it from a different perspective. anyways. im proud i got a couple articles done. im bummed that the premium plan in word press doesnt specifically offer any SEO tools. cant even use plug ins, untill you get to the 35 dollars a month tier. next time i wont host on wordpress.com. i guess i feel kinda suckered by my own ignorance. everyone says to use word press so i figured it'd be easiest to go straight to the source, now of course im finding videos all over of how you should just get cheap hosting and use the software online. whatever. im gonna continue using it until i absolutly have to change or hopefully i'll find benefit in having them host it. im a noob so what am i complaining about. i hate to be say it again like a prick, but im pumped i got 2 solid articles done in a weekend. goal is 1 a week for a year, then re-evaluate if it's a thing i want to continue. folgers. good to the last drop
